DMW: Bannerghatta hilltop, Saturday, 24 Aug '24: Restricted numbers walk
Where: Bannerghatta Hilltop

This is an open forest area, with documented bear and leopard movement, so the walk is restricted to 20 individuals. Children above 6 years can participate.

Parking/Meeting time: 6.15am. Walk starts at 6.30 and ends before 9am.

with the subject title, "Bannerghatta Hilltop" and giving the names and mobile nos. of those who wish to participate.

I will send the first 20 people who respond, the joining link to the WA group for the walk.

Details on group description:

Meeting/Parking Point:  Champaka Dhama Temple Parking Lot, location:

Meeting Time: 6.15amWalk starts at 6.30am sharp.
We go up the steps at the side of the temple and at the top we walk towards the left, and down the path for a bit.  Walk ends by 9 to 9.30am.Several steps to the top and some moderately hilly terrain over rocks. There may be slushy areas due to the rain.
Participants MUST keep to the group and not wander away, as it is an open forest  area, with documented bear and leopard movement.
 Wear: Dull-coloured clothes, comfortable walking shoes, Bring rainwear as it is still the monsoon season.
Bring: Bird books/apps, binoculars, cameras if you wish to photograph, pads/pencils if you wish to sketch or make notes.Plenty of water (nothing is available on top of the hill).
Bringing snacks to share is optional, but we do it regularly :
Pay and use toilets available near the temple entrance.
