We left at 3.30. Teashops on the way, and a petrol pump near Ganjam, were open, so we did not have to drive up to ORR junction like yesterday. We reached at about 6am.

The last bit after the entrance arch (you have to take a left from the road) is a path that feels a little worrying but cars can drive through.

(The 2nd point has the tree cover, the Aralikatte and access to the river but access to the Bee-eater Sanctuary has become very difficult.)

It's a huge place about 3 months old. Pavitra who hails from Nanjangud, and who commutes 40km by bus each way, waited on us very well. Food was good though pricey (eg coffee was Rs.30).First restaurant I have seen which has covered car parking (for at least 20 cars)...made a huge difference to the comfort level when we boarded the car after the meal.

Halli Mane is right after Kasturi Nivas.

I had forgotten my SD card and Nitin lent me one. Unfortunately I am not able to download photos to my laptop. I downloaded on my phone and uploaded to Flickr.
