Birth Certificate: next step update, 290224
Next enthralling episode of my long-running (and long-suffering) serial, "My Birth Certificate".
Today I got two affidavits (one, that the names on my school/university certificates, and my new passport, belong to the same person, ie. me....and two, that both my parents are the same persons in spite of the different spellings of their names) and have sent them by courier to my friend (well, nearly-brother) in Kolkata.
Will the monsters (the Babudom of Kolkata) be satisfied? What will their next demand be? Watch this space!
...... Meanwhile, I can confidently declare that summer is in full force outdoors in Bangalore. Drinking water like a camel after getting home. From now on, my going-out bag will contain a bottle of water as well as a parasol.
