The meeting point was the Zoo parking lot. Nearly 100 people assembled on the morning of 2nd October. Sri Suresh, Sri Mani, Sm Anuradha and Sm Aishwarya (who works in the Zoo) all helped gather the people into three groups, under the supervision of forest guards, and participants took three routes into the forest area. I conducted the walk for one group and have agreed to do so on the 8th too.

Badam milk was served to everyone in at the start, and people entered through the Zoo main gate and proceeded on the respective trails. I am giving some details about the trail we followed. It was an area which I used to frequent in the days when the zoo had not been enlarged, and was open to everyone. We visited two or three waterbodies and went into the Herbivore area too. A simple breakfast of chitranna was served to all participants after the walk.

There was also a Wildlife Walk from Vidhana Soudha to Lalbagh, on the same day. I was, of course, unable to attend that.
