After stumbling across the sheer awesomeness that was the Bartimaeus Trilogy, I decided to take a chance on another fantasy book I'd bought a long time ago and hadn't tried to read. Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is supposed to be an awesome book too, but I have yet to get to the awesome part. At least it's been highly acclaimed and all that. It's proving very hard to get into. I find myself daydreaming in the middle of reading a sentence. That isn't good. Still, I'm not that far into it (only on chapter 14 out of 69) and since it is so highly regarded I'm going to keep trying. The first three pages of the book are crammed with positive reviews, so I'm hoping it gets good soon. Not that it's not good now but...it's boring. I will come out and say it! It is mostly boring, with a few interesting incidents. I kind of feel like I'm reading a book for school...
I'll try to finish it anyway. Anyone on here read it? I doubt it, but you never know. And who knows how it will end too, I'm only like 1/10th into the book. It might not help the type is small and crowded and a bit too close to the gutter so I have to practically break the spine to read it. I can't blame the author or story for that though. Stupid publishers!
