16 Shots of Yeager Later...

and I learn that I should not test my resistances all in one night. That was ridiculously stupid. I am never drinking in excess again. This was my first time ever trying, and while some might claim I did admirably well, I was still sick, and I count that as an immense failure. I crashed last night on ragresen's livingroom floor, and had to drive home ( Read more... )

You have my sympathies. (My real "test" was half a bottle of butterscotch schnapps - we weren't really measuring shots, and it was more of "Not used to hard liquor oh hey this is good!" not thinking than TRYING to test.)
At least getting sick means it doesn't get -worse- later?

::hugs onto you::

Wait, you mean it can get worse later? Worse than this?

Well, you can get to where you've not only got the hangover headache etc., but are STILL naseous -and- everything's still fuzzy. *I've done it! It's not fun!*

I got two thirds of the way I think. Well, no, I didn't get a headache at all. The worst headache I got was my usual morning sinus headache, so that's nothing. But I've been sick all morning, literally, because of this. So... yea. As for things being fuzzy, I hardly got to that point last night, so I'm not surprised that didn't last. Still, scary.

I'd never even felt 'tipsy'. I have a lot of friends who enjoy drinking as almost a hobby. I wanted to know what it felt like. I wanted to see what my resistences were. I think, deep down, I also wanted to prove that my grandmother should stfu about how alcoholism runs in my family, too, I think, because I wanted to prove I could drink responsibly (which I failed to prove) and that I could make wise decisions regarding drinking repeatedly (like the one I'm making now, to never drink again). But honestly, I'm not quite sure. I felt comfortable and safe in the setting. I suppose it was a good place to do this, if I felt I had to do it.

I should probably mention that I'd never had Yeager before in my life. I probably never will again, either. Yes, yes it was a lot of Yeager. I'm pretty sure I went toe for toe with the heavy drinkers who through this little "party". That was not smart. Not at all. I'm still feeling the effects.

Trust me last night led to a very miserable day for me. Never again will I drink Yeager. I am sticking with my tried and true drinks.

Amy the fact you had enough sense about you to stay last night and not drive home was drinking responsibly. You knew you drank too much to drive.

The only truly heavy drinkers present were Dave and Deke. I do not normally drink as heavily as I did in such a short period. Again never drink like that with a new drink to you. I should have stuck to my planned gaterade and chips.

I look forward to hearing what stupid stuff I said to Jeanie when I talk to her tommarrow.

::hugs:: I suppose at least we had fun, right? I'd love to have another gaming night at some point, this time without drinks. Meh, very inarticulate right now. Hope you feel better soon.

It's "Jager," not "Yeager."

It's called "Jagermeister," or "Hunting Master."

... sorry. I'm not exactly a drinker, so I had no way of knowing. Thanks.
