City That Never Sleeps
So most of you probably know that Joel's dad was living in Vegas. It's actually pretty sad, because he isn't anymore. I'd love to head out there again. I haven't been since some time in highschool, and I think I caught pnumonia the last time I was out there. Or was that the time before? Anyway.
Joel's dad was living in Vegas, well, close by at least. He isn't anymore because he lost his job for about a month before the company realized how stupid they were being and asked him to come back to work for them. Still, he was unemployed for about a month or more, and that was enough that he had to something to survive. He traveled to Florida, where had a friend with a security company, and did some work for that friend until he was stabilized again. Needless to say, that means he and his girlfriend moved back to Florida again.
Sucks, too, because I wanted to go see some of the things Joel saw in Vegas. It's been at least five years since I've been there, and I really want to go visit some of my favorite haunts again. Vegas is amazing, and I remember all the fun I had at MGM Grand, Circus Circus, Excalibur, New York New York, and a bunch of the other big names. MGM was amazing, though, because it had so many shows. Poking around at a site that offers Las Vegas event tickets, I'm wishing Roddy was in Vegas even more now, because he had offered to fly us out there for a visit and such at some point. They're having Billy Joel in concert around November! I only saw him in concert with Elton John, and I don't know if you could call that 'seeing' considering how bad our seats were. XD
I never stayed at the MGM, but I remember we spent a lot of time there. I think that's where we saw Julio Iglacias (sp) (Hueli loves him) in concert, too, come to think of it. Ah, the memories... Blah to not being able to visit again. ::shakes a fist at fate::
