Sparkles!

So I’ve lost track of what I’ve posted and what I haven’t. Isn’t that pathetic? Goes to show that I haven’t been posting terribly often, have I? I suppose not. I should be better about that, really.

Last weekend (not the one that just passed, but the one before it), Odango and I decided to go to the roller skating rink. We got lost on the way, and, amazingly, wound up attending a giant Scholastic Book Fair. It was amazing, straight out of the warehouse, and brought us back to our childhood, and the Scholastic fairs in elementary school. We gaped at books, posters, several educationalish toys, pencils and erasers for about an hour before they announced that the place was closing for the day, and wouldn’t be open on Sunday or Memorial Day… so we would not be able to get another chance at it until their next sale! ::flails:: I was being good, though, and only had a handful of books. One for me, one for Joel, and three from the dollar section. Well, of course, I didn’t estimate right, and when I gladly paid my whole whopping $6, I wished that I had been “worse” and gotten some of the other books I had been eyeballing.

After that, we realized that we still had time to go roller skating before we met Joel for “lunch”, which was of course basically his meal break at work and our dinner. We had a great time jamming at the rink, and I relearned stuff I’d forgotten years ago. I can cross over when turning again!!! And I didn’t fall once! I was super proud of myself for this fact. Odango was having a harder time of it, but I know she’ll end up relearning it all and being better than me, so I that’s okay. XD The music was okay, although I could’ve done with some more retro stuff. I was bold, and even requested a song… but I didn’t get it. ;-; The guy said he’d play M.C. Hammer’s Addam’s Family Groove for me, but if he did, it wasn’t until after we left. Odango and I have sworn we’d go back more often, now, and who knows? Maybe it’ll even help me get in shape. If we go often enough, though, I’ll bite the bullet and drop the $100 on a decent pair of speed skates. Because yea, comfort is important, and I <3 me some speed skates.

And blah, computer’s being wonky and I need to get back to work. I suppose I’ll write more later. ::buzzes IT and wonders why her computer never does what she wants it to::

PS: Since I saw this right before posting, I figured I'd do it too. Since you know, I can get desk nameplates or a keychain if I link this, for free, engraved with my name... and free stuff is awesome. <3 So do you want something free too? XD Hope this works... (And no, this has nothing to do with my normal sponsored posts... just a little blurb on the bottom of a normal post because I could.

PPS: Apparently, one of the attorneys in the office has bought or has played the Nintendo Wii. She is now animatedly expressing to several other (many years older than she) attorneys how wonderful the system is. Currently, she is discussing the Tennis game on the Sports game. XD They are also discussing the pronunciation of the word Wii. <3 I love my office.
