Apparently on my way in to work I was invisible today.
It drove me batty. I was changing lanes to my left, perfectly safe, in the clear, doing everything right and I had the right of way. I'm half way into the lane, moving a bit slowly because I'm wary of insane people. Someone to the left of the lane I was changing into decided that THEY wanted to be in the same lane, in almost the exact same spot I was moving into, even though there was plenty of room for him ahead of me. I had to swerve suddenly back into my original lane, and nearly lost control. It was terrifying. I vowed not to change lanes again for the drive until I absolutely had no choice. So I kept puttering along in my lane, slower than normal because I was visibly shaken. So what happens next? Someone tries to cut in front of me before they are in front of me, and I have to slam on brakes to let them in.
I'm perfectly safe. I'm just... fucking annoyed as hell. There are enough stupid people on the road. Maybe I should start taking mass transit after all. Apparently I just can't drive.
