OOC: Explanation on how I actually play him
My version of Niou may not seem like the regular one. Sometimes I do feel he's a bit out of character. But there's an explanation for this I would like to share.
For several years no, even before he started attending Junior high, Niou has been pretending to be a lot of things. At first it was just fun to fool around with people and making them believe what they want of him - not showing who he really is.
Then in junior high it became as a more regular hobby. At school he mostly was someone else than himself, even though it still had a hint of his original him in the presence of the Rikkai "family".
After graduation he just kept on pretending. It was mostly because of that he decide to join the first yakuza, the Yoshide family. When he was offered a chance to keep on pretending at Sanada family, he took it, since it was easy enough, since he was already used to it.
However, spending time with Sanada more and more has made him realize that he has lost his real self on the way. He's not sure what it is anymore, so he's become lost. He can be a thief or the gentlest person around, but what really is him?
These thoughts lead him to redeem himself and finally get rid of the pressure of two families (Yoshide is an idiot and didn't want Nious sister to find out so an easy way out, no drama, lalalaa?)
Now he's just trying to find the "real him" from the inside, so he can stop pretending so much. Which will mean that he will have sort of moodswings around and round until the time he either finds the right way, or stops searching.
