StoneHenge to Salisbury

OAC Conquers Salisbury!

Ahem.

So much for being guai and finishing my essay (which I did eventually, albeit in a half asleep state) ^^" Spent yesterday out of London hiking (again). The route this time was from Stone Henge to Old Sarum in Salisbury... which is approximately 16km or so and took 4ish hours to complete. Bad thing about going as a club to iconic spots like this is that some people take it as if it's a leisurely suaku-tourist type tour and take their own sweet time strolling along the path and snapping photos at everything... thought people would have a greater sense of urgency and feel a greater need to go quickly along the path when we've got so little daylight now.

Anyways, I digress, on to photos :D

I always seemed to remember Stone Henge as being more majestic, though that's perhaps due to the fact that the last time I visited was when I was five and everything always seems so much more grand then than it does now. Now we kinda looked at it, went round and went "that's what I paid £5.60 for?"... Guess it wasn't that enjoyable due to the cold. The area around Stone Henge is completely flat so when the wind blows, its so strong that you feel as if you could topple over at any time. Needless to say, it was FREEZING

Flat... flat land... but still so pretty ^^

With flat ground comes more horses (and all suaku Singaporeans always go "HORSES!!! +_+" every time we see one). Some were really nice and came right up to the fencing to let us pat them.

Winter is coming~ x.x

Old Sarum is kinda the remains of this old fort in Salisbury. It's practically reduced to rubble now though and is more of an open space for dogs to run around/charge at you.

Enough for now (net here's getting laggy like it does on weekends), till next time <3
