Today started out an OK day. What can i say sometimes your days just get ruined. Who knows by what, or why, but its like some force just has to piss you off just because you are actully having a good day for once in your deployment. Hey Matt, It's George/Mike from camp and Saginaw. Just writing you to let you know I would have done the same thing and would do the same thing as you. Not only did you save a life but when that soldier comes home to his family, even if it is Iraqi's, they'll be so grateful to you. I think if more soldiers over there were like you or if it was our goal to help everyone hurt, things would be going better over there than they are. but alas that's not the way it is in the military. It's work work work, do this do that, don't do this or you'll get an article 15 etc..

On that note, I'll be heading over to afghanistan in January for a bit so I sorta know what you're going through but not nearly as bad.

Well, I hope to talk to you soon man. I'm over in okinawa japan right now at kadena AB, so if you ever for whatever reason head over thsi way, be sure to let me know. We have a two bedroom house so there's plenty of room.

Keep your spirits up and do what you know is right, not what people tell you is right - your training on how to be a good person for 18 years of your life far outweighs the weeks of training in BMT to do what you're told to do. They'll be hard pressed punishing you for saving lives of people I'd imagine.
