Walt Disney has produced several feel good, inspirational movies and "Iron Will" is one of them. "Iron Will" is actually a very loose composite of two real life stories, which put together, makes a very heart warming story about a boy on the cusp of adulthood. I think what each person takes out of such movies, depends on their situation in life.
Several things stood out to me: 1. You have got to want something really badly to do it. 2. If you want something really badly, if you truly believe in your vision and what you want, no matter what naysayers may say, no matter how much negativity people may throw at you, no matter how big the obstacle or adversity you face, you will conquer and succeed. 3. Along the journey, you may be tempted to take the easy path, the easy way out. Without a greater vision, you may end up settling for a lot less. 4 People who appear to be friends may not be your friends and people who are your foes may not be your worst enemies 5. You can act with integrity and ethics and still get to the top 6. Run more, sleep less. Sometimes, in order to get to the top, it's about determination, discipline and just putting in the hours, the effort to make things happen. 7. Don't give negativity any time of day. 8. Trust yourself, your instincts and your team (of dogs in his case) and let the Creator guide you. I'm mostly agnostic, but I think there's something about "putting it out in the universe". Maybe it's about appealing to the subconscious, to the inner control/belief system that guides you. Whatever it is, some how declaring it, privately or publicly, makes a difference. I know it's worked for me at least once before. It's just something that's so easy to forget. 9. The people who pull for you are your most important assets. When you are on the verge of giving in, of giving up, sometimes all it takes is a little bit of encouragement. Never forget them.
