Mixed Signals?

So, a continuation of the story mentioned before. I decided to text back, "thanks for your interest but I'm not interested."

He texts back the following reply, [verbatim] "U r v beautiful:-)but i am more interested in making money from business opportunity:-)not every guy is interested:-)take care:-)keep in touch:-)god bless u:-)sorry i make you feel that way:-(thks:-)"

So if he's just interested in business opportunities, why didn't he just say he'd like to have a coffee to discuss potential business tie ups? What's with all those previous messages about "shall we have drinks?" and "shall we go to st james* this wk"? And "what are you going to do with your play jar"?

If I were interested in just getting to know a person better, I'd suggest a coffee. If I were interested in potential business tie ups, I'd suggest a discussion on potential business opportunities over coffee. Yes, there's a place for talking business in a bar/pub, but in that context, it's usually quite clear it's all about business. And it wouldn't be one woman with one man. Would a man just looking for business partners care if the woman he's speaking to is married or not?

* St James (Powerhouse) is a night club/bar.
