A/N: Oh my god, I am so sorry I haven't updated in forever. My other story Decadence is still being worked on, but it will be coming soon. It should be continued in no longer than a week. Btw, I have
Tumblr. Masterpost Needless to say, Rian wasn't expecting everyone to be staring at him when he arrived at school the next day. But they were. Every single place he went.
He didn't understand why they were so fascinated with him. They made him paranoid that he had something on his face, shirt, or maybe he had toilet paper stuck on his ass. When he checked all of this in the bathroom however, there was nothing. That made him shake his head in confusion and he walked out quickly.
Walking down the halls, more people kept staring.
Staring and whispering.
Inwardly, he groaned. They were probably spreading some god-awful rumour about him saying he made out with a dog or something just as bizarre.
Finally he reached his locker and was not surprised to see Jack leaning against it. He looked bored and was examining his fingernails.
"Hey." Jack spoke, but was still looking at his nails.
"Hey yourself." Rian turned the dial on his locker and quickly opened it. "Have a good weekend with Alex?"
"Yeah, you know I did." Jack's voice held a smile and didn't conceal the fact he had a great weekend with his boyfriend.
Shutting his locker, Rian swiveled to face Jack. "Everyone keeps staring at me. It's weirding me out dude. Any idea what's going on?"
Jack looked at him with a quirked eyebrow and shook his head. "Not a clue. Maybe Alex knows."
Rian frowned and nodded his head softly. If Jack didn't know anything about this, then maybe it wasn't big news. If it was, Jack would have been the first to know.
No longer than a few minutes of them doing idle chit chat, Alex appeared. He was breathing heavily so he bent over, and held his thighs.
"Rian...I have...something to ....tell you." He took a moment and then stood up straight and looked into Rian's eyes. The look on Alex's face told him that it wasn't something good.
"Zack slept with you on a bet. He is still sleeping with you because of the bet."
Rian almost staggered back into his locker with the slap that statement gave him. Instead he kept his face stonily cold and stood there staring at his shoes.
Alex stepped up to him and placed his hand on his friend's shoulder. Rian flinched softly when he felt the contact. "I'm so sorry. I'm going to kick his ass the next time I see him. I promise."
"Don't. He's not worth it." Rian fixed Alex with a soft smile and shrugged his backpack strap over his shoulder and said "goodbye" softly before walking away. He didn't want to stick around school for much longer, but he did.
He spent the whole day feeling hurt over the fact Zack was just using him because his friends wanted him to. Rian knew he wasn't the most attractive person on earth, but this really fucking hurt. Now it all made sense why Zack never wanted to date him; he never wanted him in the first place.
--
When Zack finally rolled out of bed at 2 PM in the afternoon, he was feeling better. Slightly dehydrated, but good. The taste of stale beer in his mouth made him feel like he wanted to vomit, so he went and brushed his teeth. Leaving the bathroom, he went searching for his phone, which was buried under his sheets.
Noticing he had a few texts, he opened his inbox. Nothing too important until he noticed a text from Rian.
"Fuck you. I heard about your little bet. You're disgusting. Don't talk to me ever again."
Zack felt like he had been punched in the stomach. It was too much for him to keep standing up, so he fell onto his bed. He hadn't meant for Rian to find out. There was no surprise about the fact Rian hated him. It was a shitty thing for him to do in the first place, even if he had liked him. Now there was absolutely no chance of him ever having any sort of relationship with Rian.
Zack rolled over on to his face and breathed deeply in his pillow. His silly ringtone on his phone played and startled him, so he pressed the answer button without looking.
"What?" He knew his voice was rough, but he didn't care too much about hurting anyone else's feelings right now.
'No need to be so angry with me Zack.' If Zack didn't want to scream before, he did now; It was his ex-boyfriend on the phone.
"I told you to leave me alone."
'Now you know I couldn't do that. Besides, I'm outside. Get out here.' His voice sounded demanding and his tone left no room for argument. As much as Zack didn't want to and told himself not to..He walked outside.
Blake was leaning on the hood of his car when he beckoned for Zack to come closer. Zack had come outside, but he wasn't going to get any closer to his ex.
"You're going to treat me that coldly? I thought you loved me."
"I did love you. A long time ago." Zack glared at Blake and stood on his driveway tensely.
"I know you still love me. You wouldn't be out here if you didn't."
"You're delusional. Go away or I'm going to call the cops." Zack wasn't lying; he'd do it if he had to.
"That won't be necessary." Blake advanced towards Zack so quickly that he couldn't avoid him. He felt his ex's hand grip his side and jerk him forward and an unwanted pair of lips were on his. The kiss was so rough and harsh, that his lips felt bruised when Blake released him.
"I'll call you tomorrow, babe." Blake smirked and opened his car door and slipped inside the driver's seat. Zack could see the smug look on his face and his comment of "I won't answer" was drowned out by the car's engine.
Zack stood there for an eternity, just staring where the car had departed. It wasn't until his parents got home and questioned him about what he was doing there, did he go inside.
