I've never really been a OTP person and prefer characters (little black dress types, ensembles, and crossovers). This brought back all the reasons I usually avoid OTPs, remembering the over the top zealousness in other fandoms ie McShep (who I love & adore, but steered away from writing 'em), Orli/Viggo in Lotrips to name a few.
IDK, its definitely, craycary. I've only been flamed twice (that includes my sockpuppet where its extreme shit). However both times were under denyce & for stupid ass reasons - in DA because I wrote Alec/Max (& PG at that). At least she wasn't anon, she just skipped the tags, read and wanted to argue on how they couldn't be together o.O & now this, on listing tags. Oh and it wasn't just Sterek peeps, but Sciles both anons groups wanted me to just have the story listed strictly in poly/3some tags.
After the 1st batch that I deleted, I did report 'em. Right after I did I found other authors who were hit hard, in a way that my few doz anon comments were nothing in comparison. From now on, I'll just ignore them and their stupidity, but it's been weird.
I also think my normally thicker skin was lacking basically due to the fact I've been gearing up to finally bury my brother next month. So I was already feeling vulnerable then to be hit like that came out of left field - what life loves to do. I'm finally getting it all into perspective, but my muse isn't exactly cooperating. *sigh*
