T-giving Update--UPDATED with PICS

Howdy friends! This holiday weekend was a blast. Thursday started out with me driving south to Colorado Springs to my kids' house to spend the next few days with them and my ex-wife and my brother. Being the turkey-haters we are, we had a great helping of Cornish game hens stuffed with stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, sweet potato pie, red potatoes, and rolls. It was simply wonderful, and I got STUFFED! Then later my mom and stepdad came over, along with my little brother and sister. We had a good time getting stuffed again on pie and playing games. Was a very nice memorable Thanksgiving.
Next day the kids got up early and the ex made cinnamon rolls. YAY! By the time I rolled out of bed the boys were ready to put up the Christmas tree, which was the plan and the tradition for the day after T-giving. We decorated it and the rest of the house for a couple hours, and it looked very nice! We then had lunch and took the kids to see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Aidan seemed to enjoy it quite a bit but Owen was in no mood to sit through a movie, so I took him and walked around the theatre for a bit, then decided to pop into Bee Movie and see what that was all about.  I must say the 45 minutes I saw I really enjoyed, and so did Owen. He was captivated by the animation, and I thought the humour geared towards adults was very well done.  We then went to eat at Chili's (all of Colorado Springs is just one giant suburb...awful!) then went and put the kids to bed and watched Hairspray, my second time seeing it and realising I really need to buy it.
Next day we took the boys swimming at the Y and had a great time, but wore me out. After that we met my mom and her fam at a steakhouse for my birthday dinner, which actually happened back in August but I never got a chance to let my mom take me out, so she was adamant about it hehe.
By then it was time for me to leave. I headed back up to Denver and was so tired I just crashed. It was very hard leaving the boys, as always, but it was a great weekend overall. I am very thankful for my family.
