Once Sei Bar renovated we really began to consider heading in for dinner. Last night turned out to be that night. The renovation is probably the most striking element of Sei bar; it's now probably quadruple its former size, painted a pleasing granny smith green in the front and brown in the back. We were seated in the back with maybe, generously, 6 other people. Considering I saw three waitstaff and two sushi chefs, and a kitchen where there were presumably more chefs, one wonders if they will be able to maintain this large new space. Anyhow, the decor is nice and the food is great. I'm not big into Chinese cuisine but the General Gao's Chicken was very good; hardly spicy, probably not something everyone looks for in this dish but key for me. All the appetizers were fabulous, too, fried things straight out of the fryalator and hot enough to burn the roof of your mouth; pork gyoza and scallion pancake. Hands down the best gyoza I've ever had; makes me wish I had tried the thai spring rolls. Good for a nice night out, and I think we'll definitely be relying on them for take-out in the future.
