[Fanaccount] Kpop Music Fest Sydney 2011 (Part 2 - Concert)

Saturday - Concert
So SHINee were first up and at risk of sounding tacky - SHINee were TINY. They were so little. SHINee fanboys Dan and Jay were saying that Minho was buff etc but idk - perhaps compared to the other 4 lol. Then again, at the ending part when Changmin and Minho were next to each other having bromance moments (looool I'll talk about the ending at the end) he didn't look small. IDK.
So Key was closest to us in his lime green leggings and we're all shouting his name cos he is Dan, Kay and Jay's bias and he looked over a few times but was a bit shy and awkward about it. He looked a bit like he wanted to smile but wouldn't. (So it would seem that fanboys all love the girl groups... and Key lmao. Oh kpop, preeze be staying sexually ambiguous.) I was so happy they perf'd Ring Ding Dong cos it's my fav =')
After that I can't quite remember what order they all came in. Besides, bands like SNSD and CNBlue came on twice - and there were also colabs.
Sistar and Secret were awesome - I had previously assumed that Sistar were kind of drab dancers but I was so wrong - despite the glittery costumes that looked like their mums made them for a high school concert, the girls had an incredible stage presence and were fantastic dancers - so sexy. Secret were cute and even tho I knew none of their songs I found myself bopping along.

B2ST were great too. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of their high tempo songs - only ballads - and even though I'm not a fan of the song, Shock was just INCREDIBLE live. Everyday I shock SHOCK. Fiction: amazing! And they sung something else but I can't remember what. They were an interesting bunch - at first I thought they were being lazy in their dancing but turned out they were just mucking about on purpose =D 2 of the members were teasing each other, it was cute.

After B2ST finished their perfs Kay turned around, looked up at me and I saw she had tears streaming down her face. This is her fanaccount taken from FaceBook:
i threw my bra at kikwang who didn't see it but dongwoon did. but i did get a smile from kikwang (:D) . and. threw my headband at lee joon. got my bra removed from the stage by sunny. took my shirt off at the end and got noticed shirtless by min & jia (missa), changmin (2am), dujoon & yoseob (b2st). and that's only the half of it.
Girl's Generation: Dan also had tears streaming down his cheeks. SNSD perf'd the Korean version of The Boys and according to Dan they were lip-syncing -_- but that's not why he cried. Later on they came on again and the members threw roses. Sunny, Dan's bias, gave him a rose =') So ofc he cried, who could blame him. I got shoved around trying to get a rose cos those fanboys are ruthless and after I almost broke a finger I gave up. Of all of SNSD's perfs it was Gee I loved even tho it was mostly perf'd on the second stage and all I could see were their pert bums (yay for tallness! I could see over everyone's heads lmao.)
2AM I hardly saw cos they were on stage 2, but the closest member was Jokwon so that was cool - and he did turn around during the Halo colab (I think it was Halo anyway). They are my second least fav band of the 12 so I wasn't too fussed. Dan noticed that 2AM were miming tho =/ Regardless, I enjoyed their perfs, they were very power balladish and it was beautiful to hear.
Miss A were gorgeous. They came out twice as well, and Jia - my bias - was pretty close. They taught the crowd how to fanchant 'You don't know me, so shut up boy' parts of Bad Girl Good Girl which was pretty cool ♥ Good Bye Baby was awesome ofc, I had been looking forward to watching that live.
Also they came out again later on and Fei was right in front of me =D and Jia was nearby too. We waved and Fei waved back =DDD
4Minute were great too, they did Muzik which was sexy as usual, then Mirror Mirror, both great perfs. It was at this point that Jay finally said some words, something along the lines of 'This is overwhelming' and the look on his face was quite indescribable - like he could hardly contain himself. He had yet to scream like a girl, tho.
CNBlue: OK... my tummy has butterflies... I, hrmmmmm. So this gonna sound dumb and hard for me to explain, and I'm gonna sound like a delusional fangirl, but let me just start by saying that I'm not a fan of CNBlue. Or at least I wasn't until last night. Their first song was kinda awful idek what I was listening to. Their second was catchy and the third was really fun: Step by step, one two three, boop boop da bi doo!! (or smth) - great to sing along to. At their second time on stage a girl near me shouted Jonghyun's name and then I realised it was Jonghyun who was the closest member to me, and I thought, 'Oh right, he's a prestigious member of KyuLine!' So I snapped some pics. Then after that I'm bopping along, and then he looks at me? IDK, I didn't believe it at first, or second, or third - he's eyes are really strong and sharp, he could have just been looking in my direction but not necessarily at me - so then he did it again so I did an experiment and held his eyes for several seconds and then he finally looked away. And then I couldn't look at him anymore =/ (Later after the show, when I met up with Kata (cos he was in seating) Kata said CNBlue was his fav, but it was obv that they were only pretending to play the instruments.)
MBLAQ: They were fantastic~ They did Y and Mona Lisa and... smth else? Not Stay cos I would've remembered. They wre rly popular and they ran around the stage. The closest member to me had gotten his hands on a fan's bag and was posing up and down the stage w/ it lol. Kata, who isn't a fan of kpop at all and didn't know any of the bands except for 'Tohoshinki' and SNSD rated CNBlue and MBLAQ a score of 100 and 90 respectively =)
Kara: The fanboys around me loved them, but sry2say Kara still remains quite forgettable for me. Even Secret, who I knew nothing abt, remained in my memory, but Kara notsomuch. However, I did enjoy singing along to Mister, that's a great track of theirs.
TVXQ: Sooo after a billion acts FINALLY just as I'm on the verge of keeling over from dehydration homin come on! I had no energy or voice left. I got Nat to fancam for me cos he doesn't care for them. Unfortunately all the sound on my fancams suck balls and all you can hear is me fanchanting and us screaming and bass and static. You're better off turning off the sound.
So they went straight into Maximum and all I want to do is stare at Yunho. He is just... something else. All the bands before him had great stage presence and all but Yunho - you can tell he's a real dancer, it really is his calling. I was close enough to see his expression and see that his dancing is very hard, tight, popping style. He puts all his energy into it, there's no buggering about on stage like MBLAQ and B2ST - SHINee and SNSD are pm like this too so perhaps it's how they're trained. Changmin comes on and poor dear missed his high note D= Unlike Yunho, he does a bit of lazy mucking about - like when he's waiting for his turn to dance he kind of stood there and scratched his nose, flicked his fringe. I half expected him to examine his nails.. lawl Changmin never change bb.
Then BUG - It's not as ghey as I expected live. I can't believe I got to see this incredible dance live w/ my own eyes - Yunho's hip rotation om nom nom. At this point I became a true craycray fangirl and when they spread their legs I screamed. Then they did a talk and Yunho said he was glad to bring Korean culture to Australia (his usual international speech). I am disappoint to an extent cos I wanted to hear Changlish but it didn't happen.
KYHD was the last song of the night ♥ Everyone even non TVXQ fans were screaming KEEP YOUR HEAD DOOOOOWN. Actually for this song and Maximum I was the only one around me fanchanting lol oh well. I didn't want this song to end... not only did I want to watch them more but everyone was so into it and it felt so good. I had my eyes wide open, trying to absorb as much of them as I could.
Fanaccounts have mentioned that Changmin is rly handsome irl but Yunho is normal looking - but for me it was the other way around. Changmin was normal for me surprisingly, but Yunho was so beautiful I can't even. He was fierce and manry and omg. I wanted him to look at me like Jonghyun did - but he only looked in my direction once and there was no eye contact /o\ It's always the ones you didn't want that seem interested and the ones you want who don't notice you.
Ending: I do have a vid but it is crap cos I wasn't rly looking at it - I had battery and memory left so I was just using it up.
Then I stupidly turned it off and put it in my bag as they walked to stage 2. Cos as I mentioned in earlier, there was a bit of a ChangMinho and a homin moment ♥ Changmin and Minho were chatting and Minho put his hand on the small of Changmin's back for a few moments. Then Minho pointed to someone/thing in the stands and they both laughed and high-fived. They chatted and touched quite a bit IIRC.
Then Changmin found Yunho and put his arm around his shoulders, and Yunho's arm was around Changmin's waist. But only for 3 seconds.
Then they all threw signed balls but there weren't many and I didn't get one /o\ One MBLAQ member threw one and all the fanboys fought over it lol. I almost fell over I got shoved so hard. Then they walked back down to stage 1 and I kind of lost homin. Last I saw of Yunho was him chatting to Sistar and then he was gone.
After Concert
That was that, it was over. I had lost Jay and Dan. I found Nat and Kay and they were planning to stalk B2ST cos they had info on where they were parked. We all went to find our friends who were in seating and that was that - I didn't get to say goodbye.
As soon as I saw Kata I ran up and jumped on him, that's how incredibly overwhelmed I felt. I hadn't cried tho, and I wish I had - I wanted the feeling Kay and Dan had gotten. I guess I would have gotten it if Yunho had given me a rose or Changmin had high-fived me.
Bell had filmed pm the whole thing so I wanna get it off her - tho MBC will release good footage - that was another thing - the camera crew filmed us a lot. I wonder if I'll be on TV..? I don't want to tho - I looked gross after 9 hours waiting in line.
2 friends of Bell's were with us at the end. One of them had a CNBlue ball... and I think it was Jonghyun's... I wanted it.
Back at the hotel mum and I watched the fancams... I played BUG on my ipod for her and she liked it =)
On the flight home I talked to a fanboy who had been in the other VIP standing pit. He had gotten a rose from Jessica of SNSD. His friend had also given him a ball he'd caught but he didn't know whose signature was on it. He also told me that a girl near him had fainted in the pit.

Aaaaanyway overall it was one of the best days of my life. I highly recommend going to a kpop concert, and tbh standing was great. Yes you have to wait in the line hours to get the best view but if you have the energy and patience, do it. It's such a great feeling and the view is way better than seating. Plus you get to talk about kpop with other fans all day lol. Next I would love to go to a TVXQ concert w/ Cassies, cos all the ppl I was w/ stanned different groups, so I reckon Cassie concert would be a dif. exp.
