I have watched the first season of Gin no Saji, and it was really nice, but I'll wait until this season is over to watch it all in one go, otherwise I have too many ongoing series XDD

I have seen a couple of episodes of Kill la Kill, but somehow I didn't like it much, so I stopped watching. But I've heard there is some soap opera sort of thing going on there, with lost relatives and whatnot XDD

I think it would have been better, if there was an overall plot to the story. Otherwise it just feels like random bits of the narrative. Karauri and Nasubi, they are pretty funny, yeah XDD

I like Makishima too :) Naruko not so much, the loud-mouther energetic kid is not my type of character. It always makes me laugh how Toudou always pretends he is such a prince, while most of the time he is like the butt of the joke XDD

Teshima and Aoyagi's friendship is really touching, they should have won that race in the training camp :/ One more reason to dislike Onoda XDD

I just wish Onoda would not win all the time, and would stop freaking out. It's annoying how everyone thinks he is such a genius, and how he defeats people who trained much more than him simply because he is the protagonist and has the power of will or whatever.

He dis show up occasionally in the first half of the current season, but not anymore, I think... Haha, well, captains are cool, so why not XD

Wow, Midorima/Kuroko, that's pretty unusual XD

I really enjoyed the first season of Gin no Saji as well! I find the current one a bit of a letdown because it focuses a lot more on the relationship between Hachiken and Aki, which I personally am not that invested in, and less on the ensemble. But I do like the Hachiken and Komaba moments, and now sortakindamaybe ship them. We'll talk more after you've seen it. :D

I wasn't sure what to think of Kill la Kill at first but gradually grew to like it, again, because of the variety of characters. It has its silly moments and serious ones, and the art is so gorgeous. I think it's worth another shot if you ever want to try it again.

Onoda reminds me of Tsuna from Hitman Reborn and Mihashi from Oofuri, and I liked them both very much as protagonists mainly because of how their friends/allies/teammates treated them. (Again, with the ensemble!) And how they eventually grew into more confident versions of themselves. Maybe Onoda's too intense in his insecurities though.

I'm doing a rewatch now from the very beginning of KnB, since I like taking down fic prompts as I go along and didn't get to do it before. :) Yes, I'm not sure why I like it so much now but Midorima/Kuroko works for me on a level that Aomine/Kuroko and Kise/Kuroko don't. I like that, by Midorima's definition, he and Kuroko shouldn't get along because of their astrological signs. And I loved that whole exchange between them about the best basketball shot. They're so different, but the chemistry is there; they're a quiet kind of friction.

Really? Well, that sucks, I liked the everyday life aspects much more than all the relationship things in the first season... I guess watching the second season will not be my priority then.

I actually did not like the art much... It reminded me of American cartoons or something. And I could not really get behind the motivations of the characters, but maybe someday I'll try it again, I've heard it has lots of amusing moments.

Lol, well, I only read about 8 volumes of KHR, so I don't really have an impression about Tsuna, but I thought Mihashi was completely annoying XDD Even Onoda is not that bad. Well, I guess I can always hope that Onoda will also man up eventually.

But what about Kagami/Kuroko, that's practically canon?

Oh no! I hope I haven't put you off too much. GnS is still a great series and the first couple of episodes of S2 have those ensemble moments, but I just wish they'd let the Hachiken/Aki story remain a subplot. Maybe it's because I'm not particularly fond of Aki. I mean, she's a lovely character but I personally don't feel for her as much as I think I should.

Yes, I guess Kagami/Kuroko is canon! And I'm okay with it, too, but it's not one of my favorite pairings, unless it's a threesome which includes Aomine as well.

I quite liked her as a character, but I have heard complaints that she was too stupid because she could not see Hachiken's feelings and was only interested in her horses...

I don't particularly care about Kuroko at all. I used to like him, but the longer the story went on, the more I though he was just ridiculously overpowered, and I couldn't root for Seirin anymore because they always win and my favourite team Kaijou constantly lost all the important games XD
