A few icons and lil 'ol me babbling...
Good afternoon folks! I feel like I've been neglecting this LJ lately. I thought the holidays would actually allow me to spend more time on the PC. Well, it does, but I prefer spending my time watching old reruns or with the family. I hope you all had a nice Christmas, and start preparing your New Year's resolution.. :)
Ok that's it! I want the Gilmore Girls Season 2 DVD set. It's torture I tell you. I'm catching season 1 eps on YTV and season 3 eps on ABC Family, but I want season 2! And geez, there are sooooo little Rory/Jess fansites out there. And none of the open ones are being updated anymore. So I figure, if I get my hands on the set, I'm creating one. Because the Literati love should not die. There's also very little pictures on the web. I WANT JESS BACK! :-( And Christopher too while we're at it.
Anyways, I keep watching Disney shows lately. I watched 3 back-to-back episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch the other day. It's a really cool show! I didn't get around to seeing the last two seasons it was airing, but it seems rather interesting. Another nostalgic show is definitely Boy Meets World. It's just so brilliantly funny. Seriously. I so wanted to watch the last Roswell episode on Monday, but I was at work and completely forgot about it. And today's the marathon, ah shucks.
My Christmas celebration was pretty fine. It's a tradition in our family to celebrate on Christmas Eve (don't ask, it's been like that all my life). We have a Santa suit at home and someone always dresses up to play the part. Obviously, we'd all gotten too old for it, as the kids ages ranged from 14 to 20. But then, as we got to my aunt's house, they had invited a family whom I've never met before and they had 5 and 6 year-old kids. And Christmas without Santa, that's not really Christmas, to me at least...
Ok so this year, I guess it was fun. It seems to get less fun each year. I usually like to host the party, and not be the guest at it, so I guess that might've influenced my mood or some. But it also felt strange, like it wasn't Christmas at all, but just some family gathering. The gifts I think we're pretty useless. I'll suggest we not buy anything for each other next year. It's best we don't considering no one is ever completely pleased with what they got. I spent around 400$ alone on presents. Have 17$ left in my bank account. Thank God for the paycheck coming in on Friday. Whew. I'm trying to save money. I did say I was trying, didn't I?!
