Hey hey!!
Ok, so I've been neglecting LJ, I know. I'm swamped. Seriously. I have NO time whatsoever! Teachers decided to give us assignments all due next week. I guess they're fearing that the strike on loans and bursaries actually takes place. I think I'm voting for it, because it kinda concerns me. I know our semester will be delayed, but I honestly think it's for the best. Besides, the student association went through a lot of trouble to prepare this. They've been working on it since September. Anyways, teachers are trying to find a way to teach their subject regardless of the strike, most probably by email correspondance.
TV NEWS!!! Ok, so I just catched up with a couple of shows that I missed this week. Warning: may be spoilerish!
Gilmore Girls
I feel terrible for Lorelai and Luke. It's sad that their relationship went downhill so soon. I have to admit though, that whoever wrote the episode did a terrific job. It's just so smart and realistic, not that I would expect any less from this show. I just think that it was well handled. There was drama. Not the ironic drama, but a certain sadness. And Taylor was just stupid in this ep. That was a mean thing to do. I liked Rory with her mother and with Paris. But with Logan!?! I just don't get it! Logan is NOT cool! Maybe he's like too cool for school!? Ok, I'm officially on crack. :|
Oh, another thing about GG. It currently plays on three channels for me: YTV (Sunday, end of season 1), ABC Family (weekdays, season 1), ABC Family (Saturday, 3 back-to-back season 1) and WB (Tuesday, season 5).
I have all of season 2 on my cpu (I want to put the eps on a dvd), but I'm missing ep 2.04 - 2.06 and I'm dying to get them! These particular torrents won't work anywhere! And it's too long to wait until it plays on TV :-(

Another thing I don't get is why everyone LOVES Sawyer (and Kate). He is just so arrogant. His voice kills me, and not in a good way. And he never voted democrat, so that sorta made me dislike him more. His story was sad yadayadayada, but was also the dumbest thing ever. Revenge is not sweet, buddy! And Kate! Please don't get me started on her! Why is it that I always talk about the bad characters instead of those I actually like!?! Someone get Boone or Hurley more screen time or I'm going to hurt someone real bad!
Alias
Syd and Nadia rock my world! Their scene at the hotel was omg!hilarious! And Weiss and Marshall just crack me up! The whole story with Sloane is really starting to drag out. Hello? JJ? Are you listening? I mean, I know you said you wanted to go back to how it was in seasons 1 and 2, but dude, don't you think it's a "been there, done that" kinda thing? Wake up and smell the flowers! Either you kill Vaughn off or you make him smile every so often. Because seriously, Sydney and Vaughn are so freakin' depressing, it's scary! We want a plot line! Got it!?!
ER
I'm probably one of the only weirdos who thinks Abby and Jake are great together. And btw, I was a Carter/Abby shipper before this, but since I realized there was no possible way they'd get back together (and of course Carter is with that bimbo, Wendell), I'm giving this new couple a chance! :) Ok, so maybe he looks stoned in most of his scenes, there's something very intriguing about Jake. Call me crazy, but I think he's fine. And he was in Significant Others with Jen Garner. Anyway, Sam and Luka just don't do it for me anymore. Their relationship is nothing but a background story and Luka sometimes comes off as a jerk. I'm loving Ray right now! Much more than before. Maybe the fact that he's a friend of Milo's or maybe because he's such a great love interest for Neela ;) Funny how the entire thing was about relationships. I suck.
Joan of Arcadia
It's a really interesting show but unlike Gilmore Girls, it's rather badly written. The plots are almost cliché and the dialogue is poor. Though I have to admit, I loved the interaction between Joan and Helen. I liked that they gave each other time to process instead of immediately jumping to conclusions. I still love Adam, regardless of the fact that everyone on Fanforum thinks he was a jerk for acting the way he did. Hey! No one's perfect! Friedman is hilarious and is too good for Stevie. Humph!
Whew.. that's it. I missed Desperate Housewives (but I think I indirectly gave up on it), Scrubs, Casting and Le Coeur a ses Raisons. :-(
In other news, my Crossings fanlisting is turning 1 year old tomorrow! I know it's just a fanlisting but I've never been able to maintain anything that long. And hey, if anyone wants to host it, it'd make an excellent birthday present ;). I applied for the Abby/Jake fl last week. I told you I was into them. Gosh, I hope I get it! I WANT IT SO BAD!!! And my LJ desparetely needs to be revamped. The header is fine with me but the rest is just too dreadful to look at. Eek!
I visited Bishop's University today. They had a Super Saturday (what I like to call an open house). It's such a wonderful school! They people are terrific and the classes, brilliant! Plus, they're flexible. I can change major along the way if I want to. And there's so much interaction student-student and student-teacher so that's pretty awesome. Along with my area of study, I get to toss in a couple of complementary courses like photography, greek studies, philosophy (but I've done that, so maybe not), drama and I can further my knowledge of spanish. Yay me! Now the only thing stopping me from going there is $$$. It's more than I can afford right now :-( Oh and, one of the guides (who, omg, also majors in english. Coincidence? I think not ;)) is uber cute! I think I might have seen him before, like in my dreams or something :P
Ok then... this wraps up today's "little" entry. Hopefully this won't happen again!
