That was the year that was...

I know there's a meme summing up the year in fandom going around, but there's scarcely any point my answering it because every answer would just involve an incoherent mish-mash of squee over Chris, Vin and The Magnificent Seven, with a little side helping of Arthur/Eames from InceptionI think when I look back at this year it will definitely be ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness, are you me? My fannish love of the year was a YA fantasy book with teen angst and complicated family relationships, not slashy cowboys, but other than that this is basically me. I mean, yeah I had other fandoms throughout the year, but I finally found something that could sustain my interest and has gotten me writing a whole lot more again (although uh, I was quite proud of my THREE WHOLE FICS in the one fandom. You, um, put me to shame a little, hahahahaha). It's so excellent, I'm loving all the fannish love. I know what you mean when you say you hope this one just runs and runs - I'm a little worried that once the last book of this trilogy comes out and wraps everything up, my love will just fade off, but I'm hoping I can sustain it for ever and ever. Or like, a while XD.

Also yes, I really will get around to M7 fandom soon! Really I will! I meant to do it this month actually, but then Sherlock came along and ate my brains. There were meant to be many new fandoms this month, and instead there was only Sherlock. And then back to The Demon's Lexicon.

...January?

Oh yes, you were going to try M7, weren't you? *bounces* I do hope you like it!

If it makes you feel any better, 23 fics in six months is unlikely to be equalled ever. Before then I'd written no more than, I don't know, ten fics in three different fandoms. That's ever. And then my cowboys came along...
