Trust me to stress about something that hasn't happened yet...

I was hoping my two-week hiatus would leave me with a head full of fic ideas, and it hasn't. Not one. And now I'm back at work I'm jonesing to write, but I'm stumped. Dammit.

I've learned to take it in stride. Right now I'm in a phase where I don't have much inspiration to create new art, so I'm watching something new (I've been seriously bitten by the Firefly bug), and I'm participating in my and Mag7 first Big Bang. I just claimed my two stories. This will lead to me dabbling in Photoshop, discarding numerous designs, swearing at my slow computer/dumb ideas/busy schedule, but it will get me going. And somewhere along the way I'll get to that level of enthusiasm which will enable me to produce something I'm happy with and proud to share with others.

Of course, every person is different, but for me the key for continuing participating in a fandom with the same level of love is to step back every once in a while, think back and remind myself what made me love it so much, and then jump back in and produce something. It's worked so far: I've been a fan since 2001/02 I think, and active in fandom since 2005, when I got internet at home and discovered LJ. My love for the boys still hasn't diminished, and I'm sure it never will.
