The Days of Telly Meme...
Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching
This one's tough, because there are lots of shows I wish more people were watching - like The Magnificent Seven, because then there'd be more people to share my squee with, or Lie To Me, which seems to have disappeared without a trace, and I don't even know when it's coming back, or Supernatural, because it deserves so much more praise and attention than it gets.
But I think I'll have to go for Foyle's War. It's not so much that people aren't watching it - lots of people in the UK watch it; it's very popular, so much so it was resurrected after it was cancelled, but they're not fandom people. The Foyle's War fandom is so small as to be practically non-existent, and there are times when I crave fandom activity. I want icons, graphics, wallpapers, fic, vids, discussion, squee - and there's almost nothing.
I know this tends to happen with British shows - they get a lot less attention that the big US shows, so the fandoms are almost always small and contained, but that doesn't have to mean they're quiet. Lewis has a pretty small fandom - I co-mod what I'm sure is the only community on LJ, but there's no shortage of fic there. Foyle's War is just...quiet. So I wish more people loved it as much as I do.
