We've been talking politics a lot at work lately, and the subject of a potential hung Parliament has come up a fair bit. I'll be the first to admit I don't understand a lot about politics, and I'm pretty cynical about the lot of them, to be honest.
But personally, I think I'm hoping for one. We desperately need electoral reform in this country - the first-past-the-post system just serves to effectively disenfranchise huge parts of the country and makes the results in some constituencies all but meaningless. If a hung Parliament is the only way to make the parties realise that reform is needed - and I think it is, because if any one party gets a majority they then have a vested interest in retaining the status quo - then a hung Parliament I want.
Plus, anything that forces the damn buggers in Westminster to actually work together, whether they like it or not, instead of constantly blaming one another for why nothing is getting done, is a good thing, if you ask me.
But what do you think?
