The number of people on the BBC Have Your Say forums who think they will be safe from swine flu because they don't eat meat is quite staggering. Not to mention worrying. I even read a comment from one person who was suggesting that this is a covert Islamic bioterrorism attack specifically targetting all non-Muslims, because Muslims don't eat pork and are therefore safe!
And then there are the odd few who restore my faith in humanity, like the chap who suggested that the time to be really worried is when swine flu and bird flu mutate and combine and we are faced with flying pig flu. *giggles*
