Oh, more Spooks commentary goodness. I love these commentaries. I'm watching 3x05 at the moment - the one where Ruth gets a crush on a guy she's got surveillance on and Harry sends Danny and Zoe off to assassinate a rogue scientist. But anyway, they're talking about how hard Harry is on Ruth in this episode, and in the commentary the executive producer says it's because, and I quote, "they fancy each other". Squeee! And then David Oyelowo (guy who plays Danny) talks about how they play the subtext of that throughout the whole series and how Peter Firth absolutely loves it and tries to work the sexual tension into every scene he has with Nicola Walker. *bounces* I know I'm such a 'shippy sap, but oh, I love Harry and Ruth. And I love Peter Firth for being such a damn 'shipper too.
I'm also convinced that David Oyelowo is one of the sweetest men on the planet. There's a scene set in Trafalgar Square in this episode, at night, and he mentions in the commentary that that was where he asked his wife to marry him. He said he wrote her a poem that ended with the words 'will you marry me?', down on one knee, ring in hand. How sweet is that? I'm telling you, men like that are a rare breed.
