*snickers*
I really liked this episode. It was kinda transparent, the way it was poking fun at the whole genre of horror - "could it be a little lighter?" "how do the ghosts hear the chanting?" - and it's very reminiscent of The X-Files episode of the same name but I suppose that was intentional. I just love the lighthearted episodes of this show - oftentimes there's so much angst and heartbreak it's nice to have a bit of relief. I like seeing our boys happy almost as much as I like seeing them angst.
I love that Dean is a crap movie buff. Somehow that seems so right, Dean watching all these crappy movies in motel rooms on hunts and being a total fanboy, whereas Sam is just above it all and doesn't have a clue. And Dean just completely insinuating himself into the movie set, knowing everyone, fitting in, and loving everyone minute of it. Bless him.
And I really liked how the first ghost wasn't real but everyone thought it was, and then the second ghost was real but the producer thought she was an actress. That's so Hollywood. And then he ends up dead. There's a lesson in that. Don't be a dumbass movie producer. "We had a moment for him at breakfast. He was just a studio guy." LOL
How many ghosts does this movie set have anyway?
So for 'Cornfield Massacre' we had 'Scarecrow', and 'Monster Truck' was 'Route 666' - they just love their little horror-movie-a-week premise, don't they?
"Maybe the spirits are trying to shut down the movie 'cause they think it sucks."
"You are one hell of a PA." "Yeah, I know." Aww, Dean has a job if he ever leaves hunting.
Haha, they used Sam's camera trick in the movie! His face!
Uh-oh, trailer's a-rocking! Dean, you little slut. I love his satiated smirk and Sam's all like 'bwuh?'
Aww, and off they go into a Hollywood backdrop sunset. Bye, boys!
