Yesterday I was craving Chili's chicken enchilada soup like you wouldn't believe. This morning I really wanted IHOP pancakes. Right now I could just take myself off to the Cheesecake Factory for a slice of peanut butter fudge cup ripple cheesecake, or to Cracker Barrel for some cornbread and honey butter.
Of course I can't do any of these things, because I am in England and we do not have Chili's, IHOP, Cracker Barrel or the Cheesecake Factory. Alas. It bugs me more than I can say that so many other American chains are in the UK, but not my favourites. Especially Chili's. Who wants KFC or Burger King or McDonald's? I love Chili's. Last few times I've been to the States I've practically insisted on going straight from the airport.
Ugh. I'm also craving a peanut butter cupcake. I'm sure I could find that somewhere in England, but since I'm at work, not right now. Anybody want to volunteer to deliver to my desk? I really think there's a gap in the market there - if I want pizza or Chinese or Indian or a burger or even a coffee, I could get that delivered to my desk, but not a cupcake. Life sucks.
