Does anyone else really struggle with exercise during their period?
I've taken up running again in the past few months and I've been building up to 10K. I passed 5K a few weeks back and I'm up to about 40-50 minutes of solid running by now. But it seems like when I'm on my period my performance takes such a hit and I struggle to even run for more than 20 minutes without needing a walking break or getting a stitch.
It's probably hormonal or something, maybe related to the quality of sleep I get (or don't) when I'm on my period, or the way I want to eat all the chocolate, or the overall feeling of tired yuckiness I get. But ugh, it's so disheartening when you're building up speed and strength day by day, and then you can't even reach targets you hit weeks ago.
