Late to the party is better than never, right?
I've recently started watching Law & Order: SVU - I'm not quite sure what exactly prompted me, since I've never watched any of the other Law & Order series. Well, not the American ones, I watched the relatively short-lived Law & Order: UK. Mainly for Ben Daniels and Freema Agyeman, before they both left.
It's quite an undertaking though. It's, what, sixteen seasons and counting so far? I'm just starting season five at the moment. And it's distracting me from all my other TV. I'm behind on Supernatural, Castle, NCIS: LA, Sleepy Hollow, NCIS: NO; I haven't watched any of this season's Hawaii Five-0 yet...
I may be shipping Benson/Stabler, for which I'm really annoyed at myself. Because I know nothing happens and I know Christopher Meloni left the show and there is No Damn Point shipping something when I already know ahead of time that it will be an utterly pointless and futile endeavour. And sometimes I find my enjoyment of a show almost suffers when I start to ship characters, because then my enjoyment of episodes becomes centred around my ship and not the show itself, and I can't just enjoy it for itself anymore.
But, in the meantime, it's nice to have a show with a ridiculous number of episodes for me to mainline...
