I've only been skiing once in my life, and that was just learning how to ski when we were staying at Lake Tahoe several years ago. I did rather well, fell down only a couple of times, but I haven't done anything like that since. I have thought about trying it again, to see if I can still manage it. I've been curious about snowboarding, too.
I was a much better skier when I was a kid then when I hit my teens - as a little kid I was fearless, not so much when I got older!
I learned to ski in the Cairngorms in Scotland - I think I still have a picture of me about six years old in a bright pink ski suit with the tiniest skis, so cute! And then later I went on a few school trips to Norway, and then Stowe and Killington in Vermont, but I haven't been since. I'd probably be a dreadful skier now - I don't think it's quite as easy to pick back up again as riding a bike!
