The upending of heterosexuality and the rise of lesbianism! The destruction of the proper order, and all because of dieting.
A disaster of biblical proportions. Old Testament, real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

and in places it's really making me laugh out loud. And in others it's really making me sad how so little has changed, over decades and centuries...
Dieting, [Brooks] continued, might sound harmless but, get this, ‘a woman who is naturally sweet-tempered, good-natured, competent, can become transformed into a different person. She becomes petulant, unreasonable, and hard to get along with’ and, again, might even end up as a lesbian.
There you have it, kids. Alert the Christian Right. This is what is causing today's epidemic of gayness. Dieting. Who knew?
