Oh my God...
I just noticed it's been over a year since I wrote any Magnificent Seven fic. A year. How has it been that long? It's surely not been that long! I must be missing something.
I am working on something at the moment, but I have no idea what it is or where I'm going with it. It's a weird sort of Chris/Vin thing with Achilles/Patroclus parallels.
It's so...I don't know, I get so frustrated with my own writing sometimes, because it all seems to be mood pieces and never anything with actual plot or dialogue. My style is so...'airy' and poetical, and it's not real. It just seems so pretentious to me sometimes. I read some people's work, and I really envy these beautiful spare stories, so much said in just a word or a phrase, and me, I never use one word when twelve could do.
And people who can write so copiously, write PWP and one-shots and post-eps and drabbles by the bucketload. Everything I write seems to be dredged up from the deep and it's such an effort and I'm never happy with it.
