Driving to the supermarket this morning, listening to the radio, and they played Bryan Adams' 'Everything I Do (I Do It For You)' - and I was just hit with this burning desire to watch Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. So guess what I'm doing right now?
I always loved this film. Sure, Kevin Costner's accent isn't great, but I never cared. Secret confession: I always a teeny tiny crush on Kevin Costner. Still do, I think. It's weird, because I would never have said he was one of my favourite actors, but I adore so many of his films - this one, The Bodyguard, JFK, Dances with Wolves, Field of Dreams, Bull Durham...
And hey, Alan Rickman. Come on. This film is worth it just for Alan Rickman. Not to mention Christian Slater. Whatever happened to him anyway? He used to be huge in the 90s.
