Wow, Just yesterday I drew the Herald of Cups and now I'm onto the Knight? I'm feeling some sort of pattern emerging here...
Art of the card: A man with long black hair (and an almost evil looking face. It's all shadowy) in armor is standing in the foreground. Behind him and to the right is his shield with an emblem of the Cup on it. The background is lot of reds and oranges; it almost looks as if he's standing in the middle of a fire. It's actually a bit scary. This kind of creepy knight standing in a fire. Did he start it? Is he a pyromaniac? Who knows. But...I'd do 'im.
In the progression of tarot, the knight follows the Herald, or rather the Herald turns into the Knight. Whichever. So going off of the youthful imagination of the Herald, the Knight takes up the mantle as kind of an angsty teen. He's more than a bit moody, just a bit of a daydreamer, and not infrequently a gigglepuss. Since he's from Cups, the Knight is very romantic and in touch with his feelings and intuition. The Knight cards in general represent more of the warrior aspect of each suit. Rather, they are more willing to fight for the beliefs of their suit than most other cards. So the Knight of Cups appears to remind the querent to believe in his imagination, to take that emotional chance, to be a bit more extravagant. However, it also warns about those negative aspects of the Knight and to be wary of them. Don't let yourself become overcome by emotion or moodiness. Again, another lesson that I feel I've learned well. Or, rather, am continuously working on. じゃまた。
