(I look out my 6th floor window at the parking lot of the ALPS "Always Low Price Store", a Pakistani grocery and liquor store with quite an eclectic clientele. One day I wrote a bit of a poem about what I saw there.
Alpine Views
Swathed in modesty
One purple, another bright blue
Over long-to-the-ground white skirts.
While their rooster,
doubtless accompanying them
to shield, insure, their chastity
Comfy in his jeans, khaki shirt, Adidas
"The third world is just around the corner*"?
More like, "Here!"
