Elizabeth loved her husband, but his new case had him working longer hours and she missed him. She convinced Peter to take a long weekend and spend some time outside the city.
El booked reservations at a quaint bed and breakfast inn. It was simply decorated with all the comforts of home. Their room had a large four post bed that El couldn’t wait to crawl into after their road trip. As Peter brought their luggage into the room, she flopped down on the bed and watched her husband. After unpacking Peter sat on the bed next to her and began exploring her curves, kissing her passionately, and relishing her presence. They enjoyed the rest of the day in each others arms rediscovering each other.
Morning peeked through the curtains signally the start of the holiday. They showered, had breakfast, and set off to explore the town. With hands linked together they walked down the bustling sidewalks, sometimes stopping to window shop. They stopped at small antiques store. Peter was immediately suspicious of the stories woven by the clerk about long lost treasures, but El just smiled and hauled Peter out of the store before he caused a scene.
They roamed around town the rest of the day. Still holding hands they made their way to the park as dusk fell. They quickly found a place to sit and waited for the evening festivities. The first of the fireworks rocketed skyward, the explosion startled El and she cuddled closer to Peter. Peter put his arm around her and they snuggled together watching the sky light up with vibrant displays. Sitting next to her husband she knew tomorrow he would be back chasing James Bonds, but for tonight Peter belonged to her.
