A Wells Fargo ATM ate my Card.

Daniel had dropped me off in front of Starbucks this morning to get my morning joe.  There's a Wells Fargo ATM next door and I wanted to get some money.  I get my debit card and place it in the ATM.

Clunk.

Instead of the machine grabbing it as usual, that mechanism was removed, so I was dropping my card in an empty hole.  The machine never did say it was out of order.  Correction, it did about five minutes after my card was swallowed up.

So, I call customer service.  It's never easy for me to try to explain something, but I tried the best I could.  I had hoped someone would come over, open up the machine and retreive the card.  The woman on the other end of the line immediately said the solution was to close out my card and issue a new one.  But I explained, I didn't just mistakenly lose the card, one your machines ate it.  I told her where it was located and she put me on hold twice.  She comes back and tells me that indeed, I have to get a new card.  So I have to wait for 5-7 business days (read: one week) to get a new card and I have to go to a branch to get a temporary ATM card all because no one had the sense to put an "out of order sign" on a goddamn ATM.

That was the worse customer service I have ever recieved from Wells Fargo.  Hence, they can kiss my ass.
