my non existant daruma...

Well, I really have to get myself to Asakusa and get a Daruma. I've been thinking this for an age and do I have it? No. Why do I need it? It's all part of the great writing motivation push. The big push. Which is what this blog is about. Boring Boring Boring. Rambling about writing.

Because remarkably, I am. Writing, not mastering punctuation it seems, well not in this post, but I am writing. After about a year of writers block, or writers ennui, I have been off the ennui wagon for over 50 days. Two days I did fall off the writing wagon, but I climbed back on and seem to have gotten stuck.

Every night, at least 150 words. Seems like a little maybe, but its the routine that matters. And now its habit. I've even pulled a friend on the wagon with me, so as not to be so lonely. Its a good thing.

So now, I'm on the last scene of the story I have been writing since February. At the moment its at a monstrous 8500 words which is WAY too long, as I think it has another 1000 till completion. Then I need to rewrite some middle scenes that hold no relevance as they are, and do my add and subtract words thing. The plot has been a work in progress, evolving up to the very last scene. But I do have a hold on it and so I am happy.

But what does this have to do with Daruma? Well basically I want to paint my one Daruma eye and make the promise of my writing goal, which is simply enough to submit. After that I'll buy another for my publishing goal. Write, crit, submit, loop. Still on step one, but at least I'm on the stairs!

This blog I fear will only hold relevance to me. Okay I gotta go do my quota. And find a title.
