Dolls Party 15

So last Friday I went to Dolls Party 15. It's basically a convention for Volks Dolfie enthusiasts. I am not really an enthusiast, but I think they're pretty and figured that a good way to check it out all at once is to hit one of these conventions. Let me tell you, if I had a whole hell of a lot of extra disposable cash, I'd buy one of these in a second. I know, dolls are creepy, and I am usually freaked out by dolls, but these, they appeal to me. It was remarkable the insane dropping of cash that was happening at this place. I saw ladies who bought 2 to 3 dolls at a time, which might have set them back $3,000. And if you have a Dolfie, why not buy it a new wig or outfit or pair of funky boots, or a tea set, or take it to the doll beauty salon or countless other things they had going on just for dolls. I felt sorely out of place as one of the few adults NOT clutching a doll in their arms... (sigh)

(One of the many goth Dolfies...)

(I loved the goggles on this one...)

(These were the event only special limited Dolfies, they went for about $1,000 a piece and you could only buy them if you had stood in line to get a special ticket...)

(I wanted to get a shot of EVERYONE taking pictures of the new dolls... it was like crazy paparazzi!)

This vendor sold sleepy-eyed Dolfies, they were very nice... so relaxed...)

(He was just cute...)

(One of the many Sephiroth-esque dolls...)

(I really liked this one, odd but interesting...)

(These dolls were about 2 and a half feet tall! Really ornate and gorgeous!)

(And there were many doll accessories and stuff, for the doll who needs a entire set of dishes...)

(Again, for the doll who needs a little ice ceam in its life...)

(This was a beautiful display, sadly I only got a bit of it, my keiti-cam was not so good and there was a crowd. The whole thing was about 6 feet wide.
