“Why is he always doing that anyways?” asked Araki for the thousand time.
Tomo sighed. He and Makita were dragged to the local bar by their fellow D-Boy and have been sitting there for like 3 hours already. Normally he would love that idea, hanging out together, but this time it was like hell. Araki just wouldn’t stop babbling about how Zukkii and Yuichi always went out together and ignored him and how he was really hurt by it. As the last hour went by, Tomo started wondering, if he was on batteries or there was some switch that he could turn off.
“I really, really wish that Zukkii will spend some more time with me…am I his boyfriend or not?! Or maybe it is Yuichi…”
“Araki-san…we’ve heard that at least a hundred times already,” said Makita wearily.
“He’s always doing that, you know,” Araki continued without paying attention to his companion’s complaint, “he’s being friendly with everybody, even too friendly sometimes, if you know what I mean. And he’s behaving like we’re only friends and he’s paying no attention to me in pub-“ he suddenly went silent and stared wide-eyed at the door.
“What is it, Araki-san?” asked Tomo and turned around. ‘Oh oh’.
The two boys who were the subject of their conversation now, or more like the subject of Araki’s babblings, have just walked in the bar and were currently looking around for a table. Makita and Tomo looked at each other nervously and Araki just continued to stare at his boyfriend and Yuichi.
“And now he’s going together with him to the bar?!” If stares could kill there would already be two dead bodies on the next table.
“Should we do something about them,” Tomo whispered to Makita with concern.
“Nah, they’ll be alright,” Makita whispered back. “We could go somewhere and find something…more interesting to do,” he said mischievously and placed his hand gently on the other’s hip under the table.
Tomo jumped up with a face as red as a tomato and said quickly and maybe too loudly, “Have to go to the restroom!” It’s not like Araki paid any attention to him, so Makita stood up too.
“I’ll go take some more drinks,” he said coolly and set off too.
Araki just continued to stare with a frown. Zukkii was now laughing at something that Yuichi had said and it surely seemed like the two of them were having a great time. Araki just couldn’t stand it anymore. He stood up and went slowly to their table.
“Zukkii,” he said coldly, appearing from behind his boyfriend. “What are you two doing here?”
“Ah, Arayan!” shouted Zukkii cheerfully. “We’re just hanging out after the movie rehearsals. Why are you here, are you alone?” he asked.
“Yes, I’m alone,” he stated even more coldly, though he wasn’t alone at all, “after you promised to meet me tonight, but went out with Yuichi instead.”
Yuichi’s face was filled with concern. “See, Araki, we were just…” he started, but was immediately interrupted.
“I don’t care what you were doing! I don’t know why I’m even bothering with you,” he snapped and started to walk out from the bar.
“Araki!” Zukkii stood up too and shouted after his boyfriend. “Araki, please come back! I was going to meet with you after that, I promise!”
“Oh yeah, sure!” Araki turned around and shouted back, “After you’ve finished your other date! Why don’t you just go to hell!” and with that he ran off.
Zukkii just stared shocked after him, till he heard Yuichi’s concerned voice behind him.
“What are you waiting for, Zukkii? Go after him, don’t leave things like this.”
“Are you sure?” asked Zukkii. “You won’t mind?”
“Of course not,” Yuichi shook his head, “just go.” Without wasting a moment, Zukkii ran outside too. Now everybody in the bar was staring at Yuichi, so he decided to go to the restroom to avoid the eyes of the people.
As he walked inside, he heard some strange noises coming from one of the cabins. He listened more carefully and heard muffled sounds and something that sounded like moans. He walked to the door and opened it.
“Ahh-“ An embarrassed Tomo stumbled upon him and stood up from his position between Makita’s legs. “Ahh Yuichi-san! It’s not what you’re thinking!” he blurted out.
“No, no…” Yuichi managed, “I didn’t see anything at all.” He closed the door and went to the wash-basins.
He looked at the mirror and murmured, “What’s up with everyone? Maybe I should ask Shingo-chan to date me too…”

Araki walked alone under the rain and even though he was soaking wet he didn’t care at all. It was even better, because that way people couldn’t see the tears that were streaming down his face. He wasn’t even angry anymore, he was just really, really sad. He didn’t know if he expected for Zukkii to follow him or to say something, but he didn’t want for him just to stare blankly at Araki. Because as he was shouting at him, he couldn’t see any emotion in the other man’s eyes. No anger, no regret, no shock or concern. Just nothing. At this point he almost even wanted for Zukkii to be mad at him - just that he would do something other than staring.
As Araki was walking deep in thought, he didn’t notice the man that was running behind him, until he shouted his name. Araki turned around surprised to see Zukkii running towards him, splashing all the puddles on his way. They just stared at each other for a few moments, until Zukkii said,
“You’re soaking wet.”
“Hn,” Araki snorted, “So are you.” They kept silent for another few moments, until Araki broke the silence again.
“You should have stayed there with Yuichi,” he said coldly. “It’s not nice to dump your date, just how you did with me.”
“Araki…” now Zukkii talked like he was close to tears, “Don’t say that. That thing between me and Yuichi is nothing like you and me.”
“Do you regret dating me?” Araki asked out of the blue.
“What?”
“I asked you, if you regretted dating me. Because if it’s like that, it’s okay. It’s not like…it’s not like I can do anything about it.” Araki bend his head down to hide his tears.
At this moment Zukkii couldn’t find his words so he just stepped forward and took the other man in his arms. Araki couldn’t hold the tears anymore; he buried his face in Zukkii’s shirt and started crying. He wrapped his arms around Zukkii’s waist and said chokingly, “I’m so sorry, I’m sorry…”
“Shh, it’s okay,” Zukkii said while petting his head. “I’m the one who’s sorry. I don’t want to hear you saying that anymore. Since we started dating I feel so happy everyday, I feel complete and I couldn’t possibly regret that even for a moment. I’m so sorry I hurt you, I never meant to do that, because you know…I love you.”
Araki rose up startled from his comfortable position and looked at Zukkii straight in the eye. “You love me?” he almost whispered. All the anger, all the angst was gone. As he looked in Zukkii’s deep brown eyes, he felt butterflies dancing in his stomach.
“Of course I do, you baka,” Zukkii said and leaned his head forward never breaking the intense gaze. Their lips soon met and the kiss became a passionate and needing one in no time. And as Zukkii slide his tongue inside his mouth, he felt like there was nobody else in the world besides them; the only ones who mattered now were him and Zukkii.
As the rain continued to fall down their backs, they knew that this was exactly where they belonged - in each others arms, now and forever.
