So for everyone that thought NebrasKon was gonna be terrible, you were wrong. It was worse. Attendance could not have been more than 200. It's on a college campus, so that sucks because of all the stipulations that go along with that. They had maybe 3 "events" going on at any given time, and each of those ran for 4 hours because they couldn't come up with enough programming to fill a whole day. One of these panels was comprised of Tiffany Grant "American Voice Actor" sitting in the middle of a semi circle of 10 people while she ate a Subway Sandwich and vaguely talked about Women in Anime.

The Dealer's Room was the best part about the Kon. It was a little smaller than AI's, so that's not bad. Much better than expected. And then there was the Cosplay Competition. There was maybe 20 people who entered, one of which was my co-worker Kim wearing my Shuichi outfit. It took about 2 hours, and most of the people wree retarded. Almost every did a "skit" which was a lot of stupid monologues and pointing out the obvious. "LOL Squal was a jerk in FF8! I have never heard someone say that! That is the height of hilarity!" The only decent outfit was a guy dressed as Kadaj from Advent Children. So they announce the winners, some guy dressed as a horrible Dante gets third, Kadaj guy gets second, and a Assassin from Ragnarok Online gets first. But then get this, the Kadaj guy is actually one of the staff! And the Assassin is the best friend of pretty much all the judges! So obviously the contest felt a little biased. Kim seemed a little upset she didn't win, even though I told her not to get her hopes up to high. But the results were kind of bullshit, and she looke dbetter in that outfit than almost anyone up there.

So afte that I filled out their survey, where I went on for almost a full page lecturing them on things not to do when running a con. And then we left. I'm glad I only went fown for less than one whole day. So unless they change some serious tuff next year, I'm not even going to think about going back.
