to continue the week of "firsts"
I went portable this morning to scan a patient in ICU. Just as I was finishing my last image, the doc came in and asked me to do another test. Not really a big deal, so I start it. I'm watching my screen and not the patient, but the nurse is in the room pushing some meds. Turns out that my patient coded. I ended up waiting outside the room for about 15 minutes while nurses did compressions and 3 doctors stood at the bedside watching the patient die. It was a miserable morning. The day did get better though, because I got to leave 2 and a half hours early, finished my Xmas shopping, my Xmas cards, wrapped all the presents, and did a crapload of cleaning. Distraction is a powerful thing...
