今日の一言、カモン！Quote of the day, come on!
「鬼に金棒」“Making the strong stronger (lit.) giving a gold rod to the monster”
はい。鬼に金棒ね。聞いたことあるね。聞いたことあるけど、聞いたことあるよね(笑)
Yes. Making the strong stronger. I’ve heard of this. Though I’ve heard of this before, well I have heard of it (laugh)
これは、素手で強い鬼に武器に金棒を持たせること。つまり、強い者が良い条件を得て、より強くなることの例えです。
This is, giving a gold rod as a weapon to a monster who is already strong with bare hands. Which means, strong people already have their advantages, and the advantage is further enhanced.
へぇ。じゃあ、より強くなっちゃうじゃない。パワーアップしちゃうんでしょ。そっか。そんなことしたらダメだよ。
Ooh. So, the person would become even stronger right? It’s like a power-up. I see. It’s bad when that happens.
僕だったらどうする？「大野智に連休」。ねっ。それしかないよね。強そうでしょう。もう最強になると思う(笑) イキイキしてると思う。ねぇ。オフじゃなくて連休ね。うん。ここちょっと違いがね、あるから。
So what will I do if it were me? “Give Ohno Satoshi consecutive holidays”. Right. That’s the only thing I want. It seems pretty strong doesn’t it? I think I’ll become the strongest man if that happens (laugh) I think I would become very lively. Right. Not just an off day but consecutive holidays. Yes. But this sounds kinda wrong, if it’s ever going to happen.
何連休が嬉しい？一番いいの。僕ね、四連休が嬉しい。三連休だとさ、どっか旅したとしても二泊三日じゃない。だから丸一日は遊べるけど。まず着いて、例えば夕方着いてしまったら、もう晩飯食って一日終わっちゃう。次の日、丸一日遊べるけど。で、三日目なんかもう寂しさがあるじゃない。やっぱ三泊四日だと一日目は「まぁまぁ」みたいな。「まぁ、丸二日は遊べるしね」みたいなさ。かなぁ。
So how many days of holidays would make me happy? The best for me is, I’d be happy if I get a 4-days holiday. If I get 3 days off, when I go for holidays I can only stay for 3 days 2 nights. Cause you know during the first day people usually play around. First I’d reach the place, if I reach in the evening, the day would be over after I have dinner. The next day, I’d be playing around for one whole day. And the third day will seem kinda lonely. So if it were to be 4 days 3 nights I wouldn’t mind the first day being wasted off. “Well, I can still play around for 2 whole days” something like that. I guess.
だから、三泊四日かな。「大野智に四連休」で。まぁ、来月あたりでいいかな。ええ。三泊四日でお願いします。
So, 4 days 3 nights I guess. Say “give Ohno Satoshi 4 days off”. Well, I hope I’d get it next month. Yes. Please give me 4 days 3 nights.

Ohchan! What a coincidence that he spoke about this now!
I’m going on a trip to Pangkor Island next week, but too bad it’s 3 days 2 nights - when I’m planning what I would do during my trip I find that I don’t have enough time for all the activities available (catamaran, snorkelling, night fishing, canoeing, archery, forest mountain biking, bodyboarding and tennis) ARGH!!!
I should’ve listened to Ohchan (but he hasn’t said this yet when I decided to go on a trip T_T)
