I've just finished a couple of books of hers, and though they're definitely not deep, involving, timeless works of literature, they're definitely a fun read. "The Accidental Sorceror" and its sequel remind me rather a lot of Terry Pratchett's work, though with slightly less silliness and perhaps a little more soul-searching on the part of some of the characters. I recommend them if you're looking for something interesting but not too dark.

Oddly, I also noticed today that she writes under another name, Karen Miller... and I've read a couple of those as well. I think perhaps they were some of her very first books, they definitely have that first-book feel to them, and I was a little disappointed at some of the heavy-handed plot wrangling.
