An Affair to Remember

What are some of your favorite movies?

Until a few weeks ago, I had never seen the movie An Affair to Remember. The only reason I watched it was because it was a theme for something else I was participating in. Wow, when I watched the movie I was floored... by about 102 floors high. Gosh, what a movie!!! I guess I will have to include that movie along with Gone With the Wind as one of my all time favorite movies.

I'm sorry I hope these pictures won't overload you if you are on dial-up.

I have to admit, sometimes it is tough when I think of that movie, and even tougher when I watch the movie and cry at the end.

Ahhhhhh, the love!!! Can't you just imagine...I know, some of my friends don't have to imagine and you are so blessed.

It is somewhat unfortunate for me that I used this miniature Empire State Building as part of my decorations at this event I wrote about earlier. In fact, at this same event, I also used a mousepad which has the Empire State Building overshadowing the NYC skyline. More pictures will come later when I post in the journal I use to write about the OOA organization I am a member of. However, I now have these items on my desk, which I can't seem to part with so I am reminded each day of the love I wish I had. It isn't something I dwell on, but it is something I dream about.

♥ ♥ ♥

So last week I was downtown Mobile at a drug screening for the little part-time job I have. I was in my mood that I was in last week when I decided to take a few pictures of the Battle House RSA Building while I was downtown. I know, it isn't the Empire State Building, but it is the largest building in Alabama, and the largest one on the Gulf Coast all the way to Houston. I understand the Battle House RSA Building is 35 stories high. Hmmmm, I wonder if they have an observation floor like the Empire State Building.

This is a picture I took of the RSA Building at night during BayFest with my cell phone. They say that on a clear night you can see the top about 30 miles away. I would think it would almost serve like a light beacon for those trying to make it to port.

A much better picture of it at night.

Maybe one day I will see my true love at the highest floor possible at the RSA building. Yeah, and maybe one day I'll get over my fear of heights, too. ;-) Anyway, one can dream...

Speaking of dreaming, I am so sleepy that I have a headache, and was ready three hours ago to sleep and dream...

...I'll be seeing you.

I just checked my e-mail and found this, by the wonderful filthyvamp at potof_gold.
