Great moments in American Literature
So I woke up with an upset stomach and remembered that I needed to send my friend an e-card for her birthday, so of course I had to get online immediately to take care of it!
I read a little of the book I bought on Monday night while the laptop was booting and came across this line:
"The smell of cat was tall in the air and the men were jacked on java." ~ from You Suck: A Love Story, by Christopher Moore
A very weird mental image, I'll give you that, but I really love Christopher Moore's unique way with words. (By the way, it helps to know that "the men" are actually a pair of stray dogs.) He can be really over the top, but his stuff is phenomenal in its originality and imagery.
On a completely unrelated note, my stomach woke me up at 12:50 AM. I decided to turn on my cell, which I had off and charging while I slept. A friend had texted me at 12:46 AM. I think I may have a psychic link with my cell phone!
OK, off to bed again so I'm not completely exhausted tomorrow!
