DNC is finally over!!!! Yay!!!
hmmm, yesterday was pretty interesting, it started with me and my sister going to the school registration office. After the lady got the form that we filled out, she told us that we had to take a test since English wasn't our first language, which we thought was kind of rediculous since our report cards could have given anyone an idea at what level my siter and I are at the English language. But anyways, the lady insisted that this was a new law and that the test was required so we went into this room with this teacher. After we finished filling in all these bubbles the lady told us to open to page 1 of the booklet. The test consisted of three patrs. In the first one you had to look at several pictures, and she would ask you to put an "X" to the one that should a table for instance ( there were about 15 questions like that). hew that was so hard!!!!! The next part was all questions like " which of the 4 words means the opposite of cold?" think real hard before you answer!!! The last part of the test was "speaking" you had to desribe to the teacher what your favorite sport was, and what do you do after school and stupid stuff like that. To tell you the truth i was having so much fun, but the lady told us that there are actually ppl who cry while taking this test cause they don't undestand what's going on, which is not that hard to believe. Take my grandmother for example; she is coming to America tomorrow and i am so worried about her cause she doesn't understand a word of English. My dad actually gave her a piece of paper that shows her how to say "water, bathroom, heart ache, and things like that in English, so that she can have it in case she needs anything on the plane.
oh,and can you guess how many questions we got wrong from the test?!?!?! :)
Yesterday as evryone knows wasthe the Pops Concert on the Bay , where of course i went to,since i live 15 min away from UMass. It was fun in the begging , i was having such a great time dancing even tho my siter was telling me to stop and tried to stay as far away from me as possible, but i mean what is wrong with dancing???? the whole thing started to get so boring especialy when they stopped the concert and put on the DNC so we had to listen to Kerry's speech for an hour. Then there were performances by James Taylor which didn't turn out to be that great either, at least in my opinon. I think evryone started to sleep at some point. We left around 12pm just when the fire wroks stated,
got to wake up early tomorrow , going to the airport, so ttyl
